Government employment perspective impedes startup culture, claims minister

by Startups Insight

Today, Union Minister Jitendra Singh claimed that the start-up culture is being hampered by people’s attitudes toward government employment, particularly in North India.

Inaugurating a start-up exhibition spanning topics including agricultural, dairy, computer and communications, IT, and pharmaceuticals, Singh noted that the start-up culture in several North Indian states has not yet fully caught up with the entrepreneurial spirit of young people.

He stated, “Young entrepreneurs are now beginning to see the prospect of higher fortunes in this, so it is vital to take notice of certain example instances of young entrepreneurs who resigned their rich employment in the MNCs to build start-ups.”
